COVID-19: Canadian tech companies Spiffy and Staffy form partnership to fill emergency hiring gap with displaced hospitality professionals

As the COVID-19 crisis continues to cost hospitality workers their jobs and/or much of their income, two Canadian companies are joining forces to ensure they can quickly and efficiently be available and ready to work in other industries.

Staffy, an on-demand marketplace with 30,000 skilled hourly workers, has already shifted their focus during this COVID-19 crisis from hospitality to a range of other industries. Staffy is now offering its platform to seniors living centres, healthcare organizations, grocery and food distributors, as well as manufacturing, general labour, and delivery organizations.
